BBC apologises to Cornwall Council and CORMAC for breach of editorial standards

Cornwall Legal laywer, Laura Baglow, pursued the editorial standards through stages 1 and 2 of the BBC complaints procedure and negotiated the broadcast of an on-air apology on behalf of Cornwall Council and CORMAC.

Cornwall Legal successfully defeats planning judicial review claim in the High Court

Cornwall Legal defended this claim entirely in house, employing resources of its specalist litigation team.  Litigation solicitor Larua Baglow managed the case and solicitor advocate Sancho Brett conducted the advocacy in the High Court.

Supreme Court ruling on term-time absence

On the 6th April 2017 the Supreme Court overturned the High Court’s decision that a father who had taken his child on a family holiday to Florida during term-time, was not acting unlawfully because his daughter had a good overall attendance record of over 90%.  The Department of Health will be providing guidance soon - here is how Cornwall Legal can help schools deal with this change.
